Sound Hound Ltd., was established over 30 years ago by Gene Berkenbile, a drummer/musician that had
been playing in bands since he was 14 years of age....
"When attending concerts and seeing bands perform, I would be in total amazement
at the quality of sound that was being produced. With this thought in my mind, I set forth to find a happy medium that would
soon find myself in the middle of what is now a full time job. I didn't think that I would get so involved with
the whole sound reinforcement realm but it was a time of rapid growth and new technology was on a constant climb. It seemed
that every time you turned around, new tecnology was taking the place of yesterdays ideas. It was unbelievable how fast the
industry was moving!"
Today, Sound Hound Ltd., is an established,
self maintained sound reinforcement/installations company now operating in the Conway/Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area.
My Company
He has been all over the country,
starting in Kansas City Missouri, moving to Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley California, then to the Conway/Myrtle
Beach area. Specializing in sound related productions, mixing bands from small clubs to large 20,000 seat arenas, &
installing some of the largest systems in churches, amphitheaters, theme parks, etc.
