When soldering any terminations, a decent station is a must. I have used several different types
& found this model extremely versatile yet durable & easy to use.

For crimping BNC connectors, I use the Extron multi crimp tool.
Below is a diagnostic cable tester with connectors for analyzing
almost any type of cable combination. The convenient rotary switch allows testing of each conductor within the cable and can
determine the internal wiring configuration. Tests NL4, 5 pin DIN, BNC, XLR, TRS, RCA and 3.5 mm types.
The Progressive Amplifier/Receiver shown below is used to determine multi wire feeds not labeled.
Once the sending unit has been attached to the wire, the receiver can find the correct wire for termination to various processing
equipement.
